Taking conference registrations

I've heard good things about Zen Cart, but before I install it, I'd like to run this by you:

I'd like to use this to accept payment for conference registrations. Ideally, the purchaser would enter their registration information and then hit "add to cart" or "checkout now" (or whatever Zen Cart uses). I want the registration information to go into a MySql database (which I've always done using PHPForm) and the payment to be done through our Paypal Website Payments Standard account.

Is this kind of integration possible with Zen Cart?

Fully possible in Zen Cart.. Just do not know what sort of linkage that you might need i.e. some that sell serialized tickets have a bit of custom coding to do to track the actual ticket ID's to the actual purchaser.
