red flag Help out a newb!

    Hello everyone,
I am trying to install Zen Cart on my site hosted by Godaddy, so far I uploaded the complete Zen Cart folder via ftp using Filezilla ftp.
I go to http://{www.mydomain.com}/zc_install/ and read the term and conditions, agree to them but whe the installer does a system inspection it finds the following three problems:
Not sure if I am even in the right path but I am trying to create a file name /admin/includes/configure.php using Notepad++ but it tells me its an invalid name.
Any little bit of info will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance for the help.

    Dario

If you look at the expanded files on your PC, in these locations you will see dist-configure.php files...connect to your server with FTP and rename these in the same locations and set the permissions to 777 and continue:

    /includes
    /admin/includes

    /includes

/includes and admin/includes are the directory names

rename both dist-configure.php to configure.php in both of the above directories.

How about renaming them to what Zen Cart complained about?

    Hello,
Thanks for the info KoBra & barco57, it was very helpful.
The reason I was having so much problems was because I was using a Windows server. I called my hosting provider and had them switch it to a Linux server and my problems were pretty much solved, everything else went like a walk in the park. The only thing I had to do was created MySQL database and that was it.
    Thanks again
    Dario
