Need Sum Advice

Ok... I am inputting tons of inventory... thanx ez populate.... on the flip side... i have a problem.. my spread sheets do not include an important line....

the line basically says

This Item Shown With ABCABCABCABC

the reason this is a problem is that The item may be a Shirt... the pic shows with pants..... So it should say Shown with l12345... (model #)

ok i could go back and add that the the description of each and every line...... right... sure but here is what i need...

I want to be able to have the customer select that item to complete the outfit and add it to the cart together... ok.. so there is crosssell right...? maybe i am not reading about it correctly... but i need it on the SAME screen... not after they added it to there cart... i thought about adding attributes.... but that would be a million attributes.....I started and i would have to add an attribute for each size as well..... so is there a solution to my delima?... the site is www.yourlingerieparty.com so far i only have about 400 pcs up... not all items need this... but more than 3/4 do...

There are wants, needs and wishes...I place this in wishes.

There are sites that have this look and function but everyone that I have seen is hand coded html or manually entered.

You wish for some type of automatic addition and I have not seen this function anywhere.

I am assuming that you do not want the same pant item to be sold with all tops

more like Top "A" with Pant "X"
and then Top "B" with Pant "Y"

lol/sniffol - sigh.. i guess what i need is a wish... i coudl add an attribute for everything.... 8 pages of attributes so far and that is only about 20 items... i must add an attribute for each item size and color... I think i will have to go with xsell...

I was hoping there was something I was missing.... as far as same bottom being sold with tops... its the consumers choice... the pics display tops and bottoms... the item they may be looking at could be the top... since it shows the bottom.. i wanted them to be able to select the bottom/size/color and add that at the same time to the cart.....

xsell kinda does that.. but not on the same screen... they have to add the item to the cart... then the xsell shows the other item. on the cart page... thanks kobra....

I do not know your stock that well...but why 20 & 8 pages???

Size is one attribute and color is one attribute....use a dropbox for the 5/6 sizes and a dropbox for the colors...

Group your attributes by relevance.

im not sure what you mean.. when i mention 8 pages of attributes.. i am taking about on the option values page.... not the product page.. i am unsing dropdown boxes.... i was reffering to something like this

it produces a dropdown box with all the items sizes and colors.. so if selected.. the order will look like this

Zip up leather corset w/ pockets & buckle shoulder straps & boning. Leather back w/ lace up detail.
Pick A Color - Black
Select Your Size - 32
This Item Shown With - L9180 Black Leather Panty (one Size) <--- that item is charged and added to the order

maybe that will help understand what i need...


so long story short...

cust viewing laced top...

attributes for size and color of that top...

item shown with laced bottom <------ this is where the 8 pages of attributes come in

i added "shown with" attribute.... then list all sizes and colors of that laced bottom as attributes.....so that customer can select it in the same screen as the laced top description and have it add to the cart...

xsell will probably be my best option..... i just wanted to give the cust the ability to add the bottom/top shown with as they were viewing that item....
