Multiple Downloads Stumper

I followed Ajeh's tutorial on multiple part downloads here:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29054

I changed the names to Download Song 1, 2 etc. and followed the rest carefully with Option name "Download Song 1" and Option VAULES of 1, of 2, of 3, of 4.
And for "Download Song 2" the option VALUES were of 2, of 3, of 4... etc

In the Att controller I select Option Name "Download Song 1, 2, 3, 4" and then Select the Option Value that corresponds "of 4 [Download Song 1] etc.

Then I paste in the filename, save it all and when I go to the product page I get this after clicking on add to cart (note that everything shows up just fine on the product page, 4 songs with 4 radio buttons)

This is probably a pretty stupid error on my part. Any thoughts?

Warning Please correct the following:
On the Option for: Download Song 1 You picked an Invalid Selection: of 4
On the Option for: Download Song 2 You picked an Invalid Selection: of 4
On the Option for: Download Song 3 You picked an Invalid Selection: of 4
On the Option for: Download Song 4 You picked an Invalid Selection: of 4

Re: Multiple Downloads Stumper

SOLVED!!!
Ajeh's Tutorial (original post above) is Spot on (she rocks!) BUT remember to make sure the select button "Attribute is for display purposes only" to NO on ALL of your attributes in the order (Download 1, 2 etc)

I think Ajeh mentions this in another post on this similar topic.

Just wanted to let future users know what fixed my Kerfluffle.

Thanks!

Re: Multiple Downloads Stumper

Ok,
I got a little more ambitious and tried this SAME PROCEDURE with an album of 12 tracks. I followed the same procedure, creating option names and corresponding option values (download 9 of 9, download 9 of 10 etc).

I then used attribute controller and linked all the files to the option names which all have little green dots.

Everything works but after I purchase the album and go to the download page all the download links, when clicked, say that my downloads have expired. I go back and enable more downloads in the admin and I get the same result.

Any ideas on what I missed?

thanks in advance!

Re: Multiple Downloads Stumper

It's worse than I thought. Now ALL downloads are reporting that they have expired. I am not aware that turned anything on or off.

I purchased a product, paid, got sent to the download page, everything looked good, the download was enabled, I clicked download now and was told my download expired.

Is there a master date setting somewhere that I could have inadvertently changed and cause this?

Thanks!

Re: Multiple Downloads Stumper

Getting worse still. Now downloads are enable but the result when clicking the "download now" button is to download a blank PHP file titledindex(2).php

Methinks something is terrible amiss.

Re: Multiple Downloads Stumper

Whew... weird!

Ok, somehow download by redirect got turned ON. I corrected that but then, the php thing happened so I turned it OFF and now everything works again.

Maybe there was some db corruption that resetting corrected?

Re: Multiple Downloads Stumper

It is very odd ...

Do all of your downloads have expiration days and number of downloads defined?

Re: Multiple Downloads Stumper

Hi Ajeh!
Yes they all have the definitions (days and expiry) in the two sample orders I placed. All seems to be well now. I should add that I logged out of Zenshop, cleared my cache, quit and restarted Firefox before making the above changes.

Re: Multiple Downloads Stumper

Now that would spoil the fun of spoiling my weekend because you KNOW something's gonna break.

I tested it on two separate orders. Hopefully this Gremlin is vanquished like talk of a sequel to Gremlins 16.

Thanks for your help, the ZenCart works GREAT and we have run a LOT of business through it. Open Source rocks and as these posts demonstrate help is never far away....
