Default Can not get this to work!

Okay, I am new-new-new but consider myself pretty computer savvy. This has got me.

    I use ipower.com for my website www.nestbyswanky.com.
I downloaded CuteFTP8 Professional and thought that I did everything correct. I used "store" as my folder and when I go to www.nestbyswanky.com/store I see a Parent Directory.
Also, when I try to automatically go to the zCart login to get started, the page can not be found.

Can anyone help me, or even one better- do it for me? Ha. I am willing to pay!!! Seriously- this has me stumpled. I just need someone to get my to the Admin part and I will go from there.

    Thanks so much,
    Kristin

Hmm. That is where I get so confused :)
I have my website folder (with images, web pages etc.) in a folder like this:
    C:\Documents and Settings\JJ\My Documents\My Web Sites\Nest_by_Swanky
I go into there and that is where I am uploading /store. Is that incorrect?
I am so confused when the directions for Zen say:
What folder do I upload into?

Each web host has his/her own preference in naming folders for use in running a website.
You can have many files that don't even get shown to the public. The ones that are available for access via a browser are usually in a folder called something like:
    - /home/YOURNAME/public_html
    or
    - /var/www/YOURNAME/httpdocs
    or
    - /usr/accounts/a/b/YOURNAME/httpd
    etc, etc, etc

Can you let me know where I should be putting the directory on my server? I use FrontPage for web design.

    Thank you so very much,
    Kristin

Ack! You do not want to alter PHP files using Front Page or any other WYSIWYG editor.

What did you use to upload your files?
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

I first dowloaded FileZilia (sp?) and didn't like it so I now have Cute FTP PRofessional...

This is the directory on your local machine. You want to uploads the zencart file to the store directory in your public_html directory on your web server. Your current web site should be loaded in the public_html directory (which is your root directory) and the store directory is a sub-directory of that. Once you have the cart upload to the store directory point your browser to www.nestbyswanky.com/store and the install should start.

I also agree with everyone do not use frontpage for development with php apps like zen cart. It will screw up way more stuff then you'll want or know how to fix.

If you don't have a public_html directory it could be one of the others you listed (httpdocs,..etc)

Thank you! That helped, but now I am getting the following error when I go to www.nestbyswanky.com/store:

Warning: require(includes/application_top.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nestbysw/public_html/store/index.php on line 26

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/application_top.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/nestbysw/public_html/store/index.php on line 26
