Attribute Comments

Hello

I would like to be able to lengthen the amount of words I can add to attribute name comments

If you visit this page http://www.logo-golfballs.co.uk/shop...roducts_id=181 and scroll down to where you add the product to cart, you will see what i am referring to.

For example, where it says 'Quantity' I would like to be able to add (for orders over 50 doz please call for a quote) - this won't fit in because the field is restricted.

Can anyone advise how i might increase the wordage for this field?

Sorry, that probably sounds dumb (that's coz i am to that kind of db stuff!)

Well, I would suppose that if you are going to do this that you would have enough experience with DB's to self determine this....but if I got what you want correctly find the products_options_types table and look for: products_options_types_name varchar(32) and adjust this highlighted value to a higher reasonable value

There is a way to add Comments to the Option Names when you hit Edit then you can do as noted on the screen:
NOTE: Edit Product Options Name for additional settings

I have tried adding comments, but even that is restricted, but will do for now, cheers

Hi... sorry to pull up such an old thread, but I've changed the DB as suggested, and it's still limiting the size of the comments.

Any other suggestions?

My attributes require some explanation. I'm just trying to make it so my attribute comments can be around 128 characters instead of just 32...

You have an:
Option Name (Example: Color or Size)
table: products_options
field: products_options_name

You also have an Option Name Comment: (Example: Don't see a Color you want? Call us!)
table: products_options
field: products_options_comment

Then, there are the Option Value names (Example: Red or Green or Gold)
table: products_options_values
field: products_options_values_name

Now ... which are you changing?
