Checkout Step 3 Hangs!

I've just uploaded my site to a live server (while I test my payment gateway), however I have a problem!

Here's a list of what happens...

1 - Customer presses 'confirm' button on step 3 of the checkout.
2 - Web-browser tries to load new page, but fails (timeout).
3 - Web server (apache) crashes.
3 - No order email is sent to the customer.
4 - Order is successfully completed with payment gateway!
5 - Order appears in admin, all data present and correct! :S

And my specs...

Apache/2.2.3 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.3 OpenSSL/0.9.8d mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.1.6

MySQL 5.0.24a-community-nt

libcurl/7.14.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8d zlib/1.2.3

operable program or batch file.

Ok, I've sorted this problem now.

It was the Hide SID (dwno's mod) that was causing an issue. After I uninstalled it everything worked fine! :)

No problem. After a few hours of work, lots of server tweaking and even a server reinstall I figured it would be nice to share my solution with the community.

Hopefully it'll help other out.
