Second email address

Is there a way to include a second email address box in the create account area, thanks, Rod

I would like to have a second email address box for people to put in a , say hotmail address , we have problems with customers using Bigpond over here, it would be handy to have a second email address because some emails dont get through via bigpond ( bigpond know they have problems but wont admit it)

Wouldn't you contact them by phone at that point?

Yes Could do that, but we try to keep our costs down, we are just Ma & Pa. i was just wondering if it was easy to set up an optional email address.

well lets see... would have to code the extra field in the form, add someplace to store it in the database, code all sorts of extra places so you have the option to pick which email to use in the admin......probably something i forgot....it makes my head hurt.

Some registration forms I've seen actually ask that you not register with a free account (yahoo, hotmail, etc.) because of the associated problems.

I was complaining the other day on the forum that I now seem to have to poll my Gmail "Spam" folder to find legitimate messages that have been incorrectly marked as spam. #$%^&~! spammers! What a pain.

Nothing wrong with a reminder to "add mycompany.com to your whitelist, address book, etc. to ensure that you don't miss our mails." I get this plea all the time!

I just changed cellphone carriers and was shocked at how high the rates were without a dialing plan. It might be worth your while to spend some time evaluating calling plans and rates if you anticipate making a lot of calls. The price differences can be quite dramatic between plans and providers.
