...but there're many problems :

- accents not supported
- ' not supported, nor +, - and other sign.
- image are only gif-16 colors (not so easy to make smart buttons)

It is BETA version.

Hello!
I've used this site to generate buttons and it works GREAT for your button "templates".

I can generate and view "custom" buttons and even download/save the zip file containing my custom buttons, but I get this error trying to open the zip file:

WINDOWS SECURITY WARNING!
Windows has blocked access to these files to protect your computer.

The "fix" for this is to open the "properties" for the file and unblock, which I have done, but the error persists!

Any idea what I can do to get these custom buttons?

It generates the buttons, but it's for some reason impossible to download them. The download process is stuck somewhere about 2.71 MB and then just nothing happens.
I tried from two different PCs, still the same.

This is a great idea, and here are a list of the bugs I've encountered so far.

When making custom buttons:

1. In firefox when making a custom button the images (after you hit Generate) don't even show up. (you can't download them either)
2. In IE they show, but you can't download your custom buttons.
3. Safari has the same issues as IE.

You get a file with no files in it pretty much. Or a bunch of files that aren't the buttons. The provided buttons templates seem to work fine with my studies (non-custom option).

So pretty much everything works, but downloading your custom made buttons.

Also it would be good idea to not be require the user to use right/left corner. (just upload a button background rather then having to split it up) I'm not sure if the script is requires you to do this, but I hope in the future when it's updated it won't require you to cut your buttons up.

Seems like a very neat, and useful script, and I can't wait for it to get out of the beta stages :)

Thanks for helping us make this script better.
Regarding your

1. In order your buttons to be generated correctly you should set all params:
e.g. color, font, text set(or tick `Own Text` and enter data in text field below), button pattern(or upload your own)
So before hitting `Continue` button double check if you set all params. We're currently working on fixing major bugs. After they will be fixed we'll add error handling to point up missing params.

2. Regarding IE issue we're working on fix of the problem.

I wasn't aware that people already developed solutions for Zen-Cart button generation. So I had developed my own. Good news for you is: I released this as open source into the Zen-Cart community. So you can adjust that to cover your own specific needs, like adding another language, your own button templates etc. Only restriction with the package is: you are not allowed to distribute this development in commercial packages or use it on public websites that advertise your services.

This package doesn't have such a fancy interactive GUI like the Buttonsworkshop. The advantages of this package are: You should get designer quality results very quickly. E.g. the routines for the text output have been optimized for better text rendering and kerning. There are some text effects too. And you can overlay icon sets over the buttons to visualize button functions.

It has no advanced features for downloading the resulting button set as the tool was not originally meant to be used as a public online service, but you can use Firefox's 'Save Website' feature to download the whole results site for example. Be aware that whenever someone else is using the demo at the same time that your results will get overwritten on the server.

Download the open source Zen-Cart contribution named 'Zen Button Construction Kit' here:

For that to work you will have to bring your own TrueType fonts and you have to install it on a PHP/GD/Freetype enabled web server. But then you can tweak to your hearts content.

I tried Sir John's button generator and would like to have little help. Everything works fine with http://zen-bck.mediakitchen.de/, but as I downloaded the program and try to use it on my own test-server I have few problems as you can see from attached images. I find it strange that only stylish_green and _orange templates are working like they should.

Everything should be ok with my server settings, checked that few times.
