    Default Problem with Group discount

    Hi,

    I'm trying to set up a simple group discount of %50. When I apply this to a customer, it appears to save in the update customer page but then is not saved when I return to the customer list of group pricing list.

    Any clues why this is so? I am running ZC version 1.3.5

    Quick follow-up...

    I was able to go into the MySQL tables and manually fix this by entering the group_id into the customer record. For now, this is fine because my client doesn't need to add other customers to the pricing group. But in case it comes up again, I'd still like to know how to make it work through the Admin area.

    NOTE: I would upgrade to v1.3.6 ... there are several issues addressed since v1.3.5 ...

    I am not aware of one of them being the group pricing settings ... and we have not had any problems reported on setting the group pricing on Customers in the Admin ...

    Interestingly enough, having made the manual edit to the database, it now works through the Admin. No idea why, but at least the problem is solved!

    I know this is raking up an old thread, but I just had this same problem in 1.3.7

    When going into a customer to give them a group discount, you select a discount and click update.

    The page refreshes and you are still on the edit customers page (not the general customers page). It looks as if the discount has saved but when you navigate away, it reverts back.

    When looking at the address fields in the edit customer page, after updating the discount, there is a field (mine was state) that is required. I have turned off the requirement for this field in the admin and there is no "* Required" normally showing. However it does show "required" in red when you have updated.

    Work around: enter some text ("...." for example) and update again and the discount, and other changes should save.

    Hope this helps someone.
