Possibly if you could move the sale items to a single folder or selection of folders that do not cantain none sale items.
On mine I have gift certificates restricted.
You just select the coupon you are offering and then press restrictions and choose what files you wish to restrict.
If you want them in different places, then, sorry that is beyond me, but some one may have an answer
