You can't check for back-links be this script. Your server configuration disabled this future for you.
Thanks a_berezin vbmenu_register("postmenu_338019", true); I'll have to check with my hosting company then...:)
Thanks again!
Hi Clyde,
Thank you so much for the Links Manager contribution! I have uploaded the admin and includes directories to my host server, but I wasn't exactly sure where to upload it to. Does it just go to the root directory, or to public_html > includes > templates > my template directory?
Also, when I go to Admin>Configuration, the "Links Manager" shows up there. But when I go to Admin>Tools>Layout Boxes Controller, there isn't a box for the Links.
I'm sure I have left out some vital step, or put the files in the wrong place. Any help would be very much appreciated!![]()

If your store is in your root directory then just upload them to the root.
If your store is in another directory then upload them to that directory.
Make sure you've changed the YOUR_TEMPLATE folder(s) to match the name of your custom template folder. Also, when I go to Admin>Configuration, the "Links Manager" shows up there. But when I go to Admin>Tools>Layout Boxes Controller, there isn't a box for the Links.
Everything for my store is located in various folders under the public_html, so that's were I put the files.
I did change all YOUR_TEMPLATE folders to match my custom name, but it still does not show up in the Layout Boxes Controller.
I also do not see "Links" under Admin> Extras.
When I copied and pasted the text from the "Install_Links_Manager.sql" into the Tools>Install SQL Patches area, I get the following message:
29 statements processed.
ERROR: Cannot insert configuration_key "DEFINE_LINKS_STATUS" because it already exists
ERROR: Cannot insert configuration_key "DEFINE_LINKS_STATUS" because it already exists
Note: 1 statements ignored. See "upgrade_exceptions" table for additional details.
I also have a similar problem...
Having looked everwhere for ths I was so pleased you had created it...however I do not have a links box on my site, having followed your instructions, I also have the error above with the sql patch...awaiting you help,
Kind regards, Mark
Hi,
Just to add, I have been round all the folders three times now, checking they all say the correct folder name, no joy at all, sql still says above, no link box in colom boxes or on my site??
followed instructions, site messed up now, it clashed with my dynamic toolbar, toolbar no longer shows, now its just a sitemap, what gives? latest zencart..
