Link Manager 3.0 Support Thread

Hi Clyde I have a question for you. When I upgraded link manager everything went OK but for one little problem. If you look at my site below the good shepherd store you will see the link box down on the left hand side. When you click on a category it doesn't take you to that category for some reason. I know it use to. Any ideas thank you.

I'm not sure but you might want to just upload clean versions of

includes/modules/sideboxes/YOUR_TEMPLATE/links_box.php
includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sideboxes/tpl_links_select.php

It was this one Clyde. I don't know how it got mess up. I took the old one from my backup store 1.3.8a and uploaded it. It worked Thanks for your help Clyde.

My test zen is 1.3.9 and I just installed the lastest version of the Links manager. I have searched through the threads for my particular problem and I am not seeing it anywhere.

For whatever reason, I do NOT have a Links under the Extras tab. I made sure all the files are correct and they seem to all match correctly. I have the admin>config>links manager just fine. Just not the admin>extras>Links --- PLEASE HELP ! LOL

Beyond that, the sql patch loaded wonderfully with NO errors (plus) and I had not problem FTP-ing the other files. All went smooth. Even turning on the Links Sidebox went perfect. I just have not control of anything because it isn't in under EXTRAS

make sure you've uploaded the following files to your admin directory

admin/link_categories.php
admin/links.php
admin/links_contact.php
admin/includes/boxes/extra_boxes/links_extras_dhtml.php
admin/includes/extra_datafiles/links_manager.php
admin/includes/functions/extra_functions/links_manager.php
admin/includes/languages/english/links.php
admin/includes/languages/english/link_categories.php
admin/includes/languages/english/links_contact.php
admin/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/links.php

Thanks, Clyde, for getting back to me so quickly! I rechecked ... AGAIN ... to verify that all admin files were uploaded and they are all spoken and accounted for. Is there something in the SQL patch that would mess it up? Or should I resend it? As I said, it is listed under the Config tab just not the Extras tab. This is baffling needless to say. Should I uninstall and start over? as time consuming as that is, I can try. I don't think there is an issue with my server -- I've had not problems installing other Zen mods for testing this past week.

I seem to have a problem with the upgrade of this mod / new zen.

I recently upgraded a client to 1.3.9e zen and v 3.5.3 Links Manager.

All data retained and everything just fine but now the display page is not picking up the HTML in the descriptions of the links.

You can see what I mean HERE. It is showing the coding instead of the actual display.

I have increased description to 2500 characters but that didn't help.

Have you any suggestions ?
