help question Adding all option values?

I'd like to add ALL option values to all products which have one specific option value. I'm SURE there's a way to do this, but for the life of me I can't find it either in the doccumentation or the cart itself.

In this example, I'm dealing with ring - they ARE located in the Ring Category (also) BUT when I tried to Add all option values to all items in a particular category, they did NOT add those option values to the item in the main category in which it's located.

As an example, lets say I have five categories:

    "Animal Items"
    "Skull Items"
    "Religious Items
    "Rings"
    "Necklaces"

The Rings and Necklaces categories are merely in case someone wants to look for a ring, but doesn't know what kind of ring they want, thus these would be linked products, and ALL rings from ALL categories would show in it.

Obviously I want to add ALL ring sizes to ALL rings, no matter what category the ring is showing up in.

Doing this one by one is tedious as there are a LOT of ring sizes, and I assume I'd have to update attributes on every new item as I add more items. (If that made any sense. So brainfogged from trying to figure this out.)

Is there a quick and easy way to do this? I don't want to create the products in Rings and then link/copy from there, as right now, the products are set up just by Animals, Skulls, Religious (etc) and are not at all sorted by product type.

    Thanks!

Optionally, would there be a way to add ALL values of a particular option to the item at creation?

If you look in the Options Names Manager and the Option Values Manager ... there are numerous copiers for doing things like this ...

First ... backup your database before attempting any of these ... and until you become familar with them ...
