My site runs slow with barely any inventory. They basically told me they're server/hardware, so they can't help me.

I'm running 1.3.6 fresh install. I wanted to know if anyone had success stories with GoDaddy's shared hosting. How did you optmize the app/dB so that it's super quick? I'm about ready to switch, but since I'm paid up for another 7 months, I wanted to give them another chance.
