    Default Display Sale items?

    This question seems to have been asked a number of times with no satisfactory answer.

    Is it possible to display the 'Sale' items similar to the 'Specials'?

    The reason I don't want to use 'specials' is that I want to apply a sale discount of varying amounts to various categories and don't want to have to go into every product manually (600+ items). The 'sale' function is just what I need but I want to direct visitors to the 'items on sale'.

    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
