problem with ot_local_tax and headers

I installed the ot_local_tax mod and it's technically working. The problem is that after check out (which completes), instead of bringing up the order confirmation page I get this warning:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /....includes/modules/order_total/ot_local_tax.php:1) in ....admin/includes/functions/functions_general.php on line 41

A similar message appears when I installed ot_local_tax in modules > order total in the admin. It works, but the warning appears.
