System Setup HTTP 406 Error

When I get to the step System Setup and change my directory settings to suit my directory layout, I then click on Save Settings. The page I receive says:
The resource cannot be displayed
The resource you are looking for cannot be opened by your browser
HTTP 406 Not Acceptable
I have gone back multiple times and reentered the info and pressed Save to only get the same response.
I can not move forward in the installation...

This generally accompanies a "The resource you are looking for cannot be opened by your browser"

Which for this indicates some error in the details that you have entered that can not resolve as entered.

You might post the queries and your entries for definitive answers

here are my entries:
PHYSICAL PATH= /home/nestbysw/public_html/shop
VIRTUAL HTTP PATH: http://nestbyswanky.com/shop
VIRTUAL HTTPS SERVER: https://nestbyswanky.com
VIRTUAL HTTPS PATH: https://nestbyswanky.com/shop

Enable SSL= NO
Enable SSL in Admin Area= NO

It still doesn't work if I leave the detected settings (which add a :81/ to the Virtual HTTP Path and Virtual HTTPS Server).
Hmmm... what's a girl to do??? :)

in the /zc_install folder there is a .htaccess file. Try renaming it to .htaccess_OFF and then try the installation again.

Or if that fails, re-uploading the entire /zc_install folder might help. Sometimes FTP programs experience timeouts and leave files in unusable states. FileZilla is a good FTP program that tells you if there is a problem on a given file and allows you to redo the failed items.

I had the same exact problem and after re uploading just the zc_installer folder I was able to continue with the installer. Thanks Dr.

I too am getting this error at the system setup stage error 406 An appropriate representation of the requested resource /testsite/zc_install/index.php could not be found on this server.

I have tried renaming the .htaccess file but to no luck and also reinstalling the zc_install folder

I can pm across the true path that is failing. Thanks for any help. The fileset is 1.3.7 for a fresh install

Is this happening on a test computer, or on a live webserver?
Who's the host?
Can you share a URL to the zc_install folder?
