    Default General Linkpoint Question

I am in the process of aquiring then setting up a CC account through the partner weblink. What I would like to know is if a user manual of some sort exists for the module? I have been reading in the forums for a while today but still have a few questions. I download the newest module from the downloads area but didn't see any sort of manual in it.

    Thanks
    Mike

If you were to sign up for Linkpoint via our CardServices partner, you would be supporting Zen Cart and you would also find all their user manuals easily accessible from their merchant console, with pictures and helpful instructions on how to do the common and not-so-common tasks.

I'm not sure what the vendor you've selected offers.

Also the LinkPoint module is now a standard in the installation (as of v1.3.6). No downloading or extra work needed. Just configure and go.

gads, I misread your post ... "the partner weblink" seemed to me to be a partner company named "weblink" ... oh boy I must need some sleep ... or stronger coffee maybe ?

The setup instructions are pretty much the same as for any other payment module:
You'll need to have access to your activated Linkpoint merchant account. Your login information can be found in the emails they provide to you.

    1. Are you using v1.3.6, or better v1.3.7 ? If not, you should.

    2. Go to Admin->Modules->Payment. Click on Linkpoint.

Note the setup instructions before clicking on the Install button.
    Follow those instructions.
    Click Install
Fill in the blanks as appropriate, according to the help text next to each.
    Try a transaction. What happens?

    3. Do you have an SSL certificate set up on your site? If not, you need one in order to protect your customers' data.
Here's an FAQ on that topic: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=14

    4. The user manual for the Linkpoint account-manager area can be found online after you log into the account using the information provided after signup.
Further assistance on using their interface for managing credit card processing batches can be obtained via their tech support number, also provided on signup.
