Customers can't sign up

When a new customer signs up, they fill in the form and click to submit the info. Then it says they need to select a state from the dropdown (that was not there before, but is now). When they select the state and submit, there is a an error:

Errors have occured during the processing of your form.
Please make the following corrections:

Most likely that is the Company field ...

There was a bug fixed that the minimum length works now where it did not before ...

Check if you have your's set to 2 and are not using it ...

That was it. I just took the Company Name off the signup page and it works now. Thank you!
