As far i can see , Coupon admin in ZenCart work in two way.. Either u have to deny top category then allow ur selected category(if u want to set restrcion base on category.)...or set only allow category u want.... in both case it will work..
for those who want to set coupon for specific Products then just follow these steps.. 1st at category resction set Top to Deny... and then in Products Resction allow ur selected Products... Thats will do.
Base on my Zen cart version, its working ... test few time to make sure its working...

I have done the bug fix as listed right above for the coupon codes and NONE of my coupons are now working. Restricted or not.
Let me back up and layout what happened.
The owner of the site I manage decided to go out on her own and hire a contract place to do some site upgrades/installs as I was unavailable for a short time. I come back to tons of emails about things not working. Basically they created a new site and separated our Zen away from the core site. They copied everything over from the old site to the new one, then installed Simple SEO URL's. Now the coupons do not work.
Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.
Current Version of ZenCart 1.3.8a
