Simple?

Hi Folks.

I have a simple request. My shop is UK based and at the moment I only want to sell items to UK customers.
How can I set it up so that if someone from say, USA, orders a product, they will not be able to order it because it is not being delivered in the UK?

I tried the zones option by following the FAQ but this didnt appear to work. I dont need to do anything with taxes as this is taken care of by my offline accounting package.

Can you suggest how I would do this?

Zones is the function that if set up correctly will limit ordering /delivery to other than setup locales

Any chance someone could explain this to me in a bit more detail? I want to have one zone. That zone is Great Britain. So I would edit the file from 3 to 1. Im not very sure after this point. I want a flat fee for postage of 2.50 on all orders, even with multiple items, and I only want people with an address in the UK to order... Any threads I could be pointed towards- can't see any via search.

admin > localization/taxes > countries > select page 12 > UK = GB or GBR

admin > modules > shipping > enable Zone Rates

check either weight or price

Edit > Zone 1 Countries > enter only GB

edit > Zone 1 Shipping Table > 10000:your_price

this generates an order up to 10,000 in weight or price shipped at the value you enter. make it higher if needed

and only the UK as as a valid country in the zone

Ok I think this has been done right now: If I put my address as being US, it desont let me ship.

But you said to set UK as the only valid country in a zone - how do I do this, and what is the point in the first step - admin > localization/taxes > countries > select page 12 > UK = GB or GBR - as in am I supposed to do something there, or just check that the details there are correct?

If I then try and change the shipping address to a UK address, it says that I need to choose a country, which I have been doing! Suggestions?
