tpl_index_product_list.php - single image

Greetings,

For the product listings page I would like to have it where there are 6 images per page (3 rows, 2 columns and no text) and when you click on the image it will take you straight to the item. I've tried tweaking the tpl_index_product_list.php file and searching with no luck so I am hoping someone may have an answer.

There are actually about 3-4 files that make up this listing. The one that you looked at, tpl_modules_product_listing.php, and tpl_columnar_display.php.

It is the last one that lays out the single product per row. You would have to clone this(as it is used elsewhere) rename it, and change the other files to look for the new file.

A bit of work but not impossible. this is tabular data and uses tables, You will most likely lose the control through the admin for this display so lay it out as you want and you can leave out the check for this or that switch else stuff

Or you could use the "Column Layout Grid for Product Listing" contribution, available in Downloads > Other Modules. Turn off/disable the parts you don't want.
Set it to 2 per row, and max 6 products per page in admin.
