Ok, so a customer of mine put a few things in her cart, used her friends & family coupon code, and checked store pickup. The total in the zen cart is fine.
As soon as she gets to the Paypal payment screen, it adds $3.95 for shipping. Now, I don't understand why that's happening. I do have a few paypal shopping cart buttons that I use for another product to save customers shipping on very small items, but would that have anything to do with adding shipping automatically from my zencart?

Yes if you have shipping turned on in paypal it will add that shipping amount to the order

If you use PayPal Express Checkout, the shipping amount is set by Zen Cart, and not by PayPal. You might consider changing modules ...
