I'm guessing you mean the shop status? Not exactly what I was hoping for, but I guess it could work. I really need 1 password that protects the whole store. Not something where the customer just has to login. Will have to rethink my plans. Thanks for your help.
try htpasswd
in case you don't know what it is, google it
I hope this is the one you are looking for... good luck
let me see if I can try and explain. With the products I create. I use a lot of different artisits who all have their own tou. I haven't thought this out all the way because I need to figure out if this is something that I want to do. But basically this would be an addition to my store, but it's own domain not a sub. I can not have the products directly on my main store or I would be breaking the tou of the artisits. I may just do what Kim said and just set it to where they have to login. Maybe I'm just overthinking this and I really just don't need to password protect it. Again I have to think out the whole thing. plus I may make it a purchased membership only store, I just have to think about it. It wouldn't be done for a few months but trying to figure it all out now. Thanks
Definitely sit down and give it some serious thought. It seems to me that it would be much better for each person to have an individual password. If you have one password for the entire store, the value of the password becomes moot because anyone can use it who knows what it is. There are pluses and minuses to the idea, but there are people who use ZC to create wholesale sites or allow users to get wholesale/distributor prices, so you may be able to use that as a model.
ok not exactly what I mean. I have been to some Non zen-cart stores, where it is protected but you once you enter the main password you can login to your acct and go shopping.
