Default How to pull tax data from Zen Cart?

Hi, I have setup my tax zones and everything seems to be working properly... But once this is live I will need to pull tax data to send to various tax offices. What I really need is a report that totals all sales and tax for a given time period by Region.

Is there any type of report like this for Zen Cart? I have looked at contributions like Sales Report 2.0, but can't find anything like what I need. Surely everyone who does taxes needs something like this?

    How are you handling this?

    Thanks!

Well, I couldn't find any modules out there to do what I needed, so I took the Sales Report addon and modified it to add a Sales Tax Report as an additional option.

Basically, instead of printing individual orders as line items, it sums the recorded tax for each tax region and prints each region as a line item. This way you can run a report for all taxable sales in a given period and get the amount of tax you need to remit to each tax authority.

If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to post the modified files.

Might want to touch base with blindside and see if it is logical to combine the new mode you mention directly into the existing module, and jointly release an update or such.

I sent my changes to BlindSide to see about getting it integrated into the next version of Sales Report (assuming he likes the changes).

In the mean time, I'd be happy to email my modified files to anyone who would like it. Just drop the files on top of the latest version of Sales Report to add in the tax report.

PM me with your email address if you'd like to see the files.
