Default add link in EZPages using WebLink Icon

Hi i'm using the latest version. I want to add a link to Contact Us in EzPages text section and not where it has a space for Internal or External link.

Example: Text will read something like this:
"We are committed to servicing you. Please contact us if you need anything at all".

where it says "contact us" I want a link to the contact us page. Simple enough but when I press the link icon in the html a little dialog box pops up called "Insert/ Modify Link"(see attached) and providing me with a space to put the link. But Low and behold I cannot enter any text!!! Pressing the "OK" button doesn't work and i have to "cancel" to get back. upteen times frustrated!!

Amazing! I dunno if this is a ZenCarty thing or just my computer and there doesnt seem to be any help in the forum on this issue. Can anyone suggest what it maybe. Thanks in advance.

Is this happening in the admin area when you try to set this up or after it has been setup in the front end/store?

If in the front end post a copy of the link code you have inserted

It happens directly when editing EZ-pages (using HTMLArea).

It doesn't happen when using TinyMCE.

Yes, it happens using the HTMLArea. I don't know what a TinyMCE is but Mr ClydeJones you inspired a light bulb of an idea. arigato!

I just used the normal "text editor" mode and wrote the good ol' fashioned way!!:

    <p><a href=index.php?main_page=contact_us>Contact Us</p>

and it worked!! Amazing!! It put a link for Contact Us on my page!!

so apologies for the low level question but it's difficult to be even a little creative when just learning. Thks for the inspiration guys and i hope this, the 2nd way to skin the cat, helps someone in the future too.

this also happened to me but I found that it took about 60 seconds for cursor to appear in the url text box.
It then allowed me to continue.
This is obviously a HTMLarea prob.
