Beginners Guide to Wrappers - is there one?

Hi

Being an extremely new zenner trying to customise my site and get to grips with all the personalisation I should be able to achieve, I was wondering if anyone has put together a guide (diagram) to explain (show) exactly what each "wrapper" does and which area of the stylesheet it controls please.

eg:
where does the background wrapper show?
where does the main wrapper show?
where does the header wrapper show?
where does the logo wrapper show?
etc
etc

Hello Anne,

I'm just a few months ahead of you in my Zenning. ;-)

You will be able to work much more easily with Zen Cart if you use (these are the ones I know) Firefox as your development browser; Aardvark and Firebug as development add-ins to Firefox. You can get all these and many more at the Mozilla site. (www.firefox.com should redirect you.)

Aardvark creates a red outline around all the divs and such on a page, which lets you easily see the answer to your question. Then Firebug lets you see the code -- html, css, js, etc.-- that is creating your page. When you work with generated pages, as in Zen Cart, rather than static pages, you really need tools like these.

Try them out; you won't regret it.

I've done what you suggested - I should be able to stumble my way around a bit quicker now
