change from centered 100% width to left justified?

hi everyone,

ive got a 100% width, centered template that i use for my site and because i want to have nore flexibility with banners and graphics etc , i want to fix the size of the template, and left justify it also.

i have edited the css to achieve what it currently is, ad that was a painful trial and error experience, so i kinda know my way around it, however for some reason what i thought would have effect doesnt.

Can some expert here please tell me what css areas i need to be looking at to change please (from % to px for instance?).

i might as well have it all fixed, as the sideboxes are set via the admin page- so all is left is the centre area.

i hope someone can assist.

at the moment ive been able to change the overall size, but it is still centred, and to tell you the truth im not really sure what i changed to change the size from 100% to 1000px (i think)

Not sure what it is that you want??

you have several design conflicts if what I think you want is correct.

I f you want the design left justified, most browers resoultion is 1024 or less and you top image is fixed at 1023px making for a mess if you reduce the layout to say 750px.

hi kobra- yep gotchya.

i was aware of the mess and the size limit...however what i really need help with is what sections in the css to edit to make this happen.

i can see that some sections of my current css show things like ''100%'' and so forth..as they should.

but which one do i change to make it 1023 for example?

and then, when i do that, it stays centred (as it is right now on my site).

how do i left justify it?

or should i leave it centered?

I'm looking to do the opposite...
I want it centered, but when I make it a specific size, or percentage smaller then my screen resolution it left justifies. where and what code do I put in to center the main wrapper?
