Not completing checkout

Hiya
I dont know if this is where to ask this question, so apologies in advance if its the wrong place.
I recently went onto a store, created an account and added things into my cart. I didnt complete checkout.
I then got an email from the store owner asking why i didnt complete checkout with xyz products in my cart.
I know they have a zen-cart store and was wondering if you need some kind of mod on your store to see if customers place something in their basket and never complete checkout ? because i have been thru admin and have never found this info lol
I have more registered accounts than paid customers, so would be curious to know why they didnt complete checkout .. i would love the chance to ask them .. yes i am nosy lolol

Yes there was a module for older carts called recover cart sales.
it should be in the download section
