I'm looking forward to seeing your site. You're site down screen was one of the nicest I've seen and if that's representative of your site as a whole, it must be pretty good.

Yes. Hopefully IX can get you back up. Though if their solution is to try to restore your site to a default osCommerce, their problems may be even greater than we had thought.

Once your site is re-established and you can backup your database, there's a piece of advice that we sometimes give in these situations. Grab your backup and RUN.

Well.. ist been over 3 days and they still havent managed to fix it. I think they have actually just made things a lot worse. Doesnt seem like there is any way to fix it.. So Im now giving up.. I need the site back online, so I have chosen to go with a Norwegian company who will sort things out.. Its gonna cost me over a 1000$ to get a new store, which I am pissed off about... Its not like I have a lot of money, and its especially aggravating since this was 100% IX Webhostings fault.. But I doubt they will pay a cent...

So... thanks to everyone who tried to help, its been a good time with Zen Cart, but unfortunately way too short..

I think it's safe to say your problems were caused by your Hoster, not ZenCart. Moving to another Hoster is definitely a good plan but why does it costs so much to get the site back up, if you are still using ZenCart?

    Hello Kuroi,
your avatar is chinese character! nice to meet u here , I am from china.

I encountered the same problems days ago. and I spend much time to deal with that . I could not solve the problem. and I found this thread here .
I get despairing when i see your post which says it is IX's problem.
You know i just rent their service.

Then i enquiried them . They fixed problem for me after i short chat.
It is because there is another configure.php file locates youdomain/admin/includes/local/ , you need change this configure.php's information to match your db as well as the other two.

There are three configure.php total you need to re_configure!!!

    Thanks.

No , it is not IX fault. really.

Please check back all of your configure.php files in zencart folder.

they are not two , actually three.

I dont know why there are three configure.php.

But it must be exsits when somebody get the problems as desribled above.

Go and check if there is a folder called " local" exsit under:

    yourzencart/admin/includes/

and there is the another configure.php.

i know there is no such file in the default zencart files!

It may automatically come out during the copy process.

I mean i copy the all the zencart files from another exsited store.

The /includes/local/configure.php file is intended for use only on a development PC and typically should never be uploaded to a live webserver.

THanks , But that why i get confused.

I hardly find any /local / folder in my other zen cart website ! Even in my local PC.
I just made a copy from my other live zencart site .

    Does it come up automatically?

Any way i just solve the problem.
