    Default No mails sent.

I cant get my Zen cart to send emails.

My server config page tells me this:
    Path to sendmail /usr/local/bin/php-mail-wrapper2.pl -t

So i guess i shoud use PHP to send emails.
But when i do that i get a error page.

    Email Error:

Thats it. No more error information.

    Any ideas?

    /Martin Saldert

Sorry you've run into this. While it's hard to tell what the actual cause of the error is, it would be logical that choosing "PHP" would be the right choice if your server's PHP configuration is properly set up for using the wrapper you mentioned. But, I agree that it's rather hard to troubleshoot when the error message is incomplete. That was a bug in 1.3.6, but fixed in 1.3.7.

If you upgrade to v1.3.7, the "Email Error: " message will transform to the full error message, which will help you understand better what the real problem is ...

Thanks for letting us know that your server's PHP was misconfigured and affecting the sending of your email.

    HI
I HAVE also the problem in sending emails from my admin and even automatic emails to the clients.
I have zen 137 and I tried all the possible options from PHP to qmail, this is the configuration mail client I found in cpanel:
    Manual Settings
    Mail Server Username: +++++++++
    Incoming Mail Server: mail.nabyab.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.nabyab.com (server requires authentication)
Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

so , I thought that SMTPAUTH should be placed here. by this I set in email options smtp accont mail, password and server. but always nothing.
I get no any emails, with php, sendmail, sendmail-f, i get
Notice: Email sent to: REZA.PPPPPP@****.com , but with smtp, I get Email Error: SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: REZA.pppp@++++T.com
but with smtpauth, i get Notice: Email sent to: REZA.ppppp@+++++.com (1),
and with qmail , i get Notice: Email sent to: REZA.ppppp@+++++.com (1)

note; I sent to free and not free email adresses, and the results are the same??? can somebody help me please?
    thanks in advance

I'd just like to go on the record to say we just had to move a client from using the qmail option to smtpauth.

Mails sent via qmail simply disappeared, not even appearing in the logs!!!!
About 1 in 4 actually turned up and with smtpauth every single one arrived as expected.

FYI the box is plesk 8.01 running on FC
