Hi Ajeh,
I am in the process of upgrading -- a junky mySQL interface is preventing me from backing up the DB. I have a request in to support.
Before I jump into that full-force, I just wanted to give you an update and confirm that the solution is still an upgrade.
I was able to identify something that changed directly before the site crashed. The person running the site (not me) added two EZ pages that were to display in the header and the footer. One had text in the proper place. The other had an absolute link to a local file, though it was placed in the remote URL field.
After removeing both of these entries entries the site started functioning again... in Firefox. In IE and Safari it still prevents me from logging in.
So the questions are:
1. why on earth would a server process be affected by browser compatability (and does this give any clue to what the problem might be.)
2. do you still think the route is an upgrade. (i am heading that way anyway, but am temporarily prevented by the mySQL interface.)
3. are there any known issues with EZ pages / links in the header or footer / remote-local HTML file links or was this a fluke?
thanks always
fab
