Default failure to install, should be a simple fix

Im installing zen cart on a server running apache, didnt have time to confirm it was actually linux but i assume as much, regardless, im not sure the os has much to do with it.
the hosting provider sets up every user with a folder for public_html and public_ftp and mail. zen-cart is in public_html and im installing, on the system setup screen it detects the physical path and everything but when i click save settings and it goes to the next page i get a 406 error, page not in a readable form. I tried both IE 7 and Firefox 2. It's definitely a zen-cart error. I started debugging the issue but i didnt have time to go through a handful of files and countless pages of code, my client has other stuff that needs to get done
any ideas would be extremely helpful as id really like to use zen cart but if i have to i guess i'll be moving to another tool

This isn't really a Zen cart issue. It's most more about the way your (client's) host has implemented mod_security. You can read more about it here.

Gotta say though, telling us that you can't be bothered to even find out what type of server you're running on and then making sweeping statements about Zen Cart isn't a great way to encourage us to help you.
