    Default patching?

    I (ok, my web host did it for me) used fantastico to update my zen cart (1.3.7), now i'm getting a message on my home page saying "your database appears to need patching to a higher level" then it say to check server info to review patch levels. what do i do to get rid of this message??

    Apparently, they uploaded 1.3.7, but they didn't run zc_install to upgrade the database. You can probably do it yourself. You'd have to upload the zc_install folder to your website and run it by going to http://www.yourdomain.com/zc_install/ and selecting the "upgrade database" option. You can ask your hosting service if they can do it.

    Excellent!

    Were you able to run the db upgrade or was your hosting service able to do that? I had some other suggestions, but they were a bit more technical, so I thought I'd hold off and see if this could be resolved with the zc_install.

    mary ellen, what were your other ideas. i am getting the same message but i installed the zc upgrade myself and updated the database through zencart installer.

    You can look in the installer and get the mysql statements to run manually. I'd suggest trying to run the installer again to update the db only and see what happens. The sniffer should be able to determine if something was missed.
