Custom users table?

I'm working on developing a social networking site and I've got several 3rd party components, like Zen Cart, and I'm wondering if there's a way to customize the Zen Cart setup to work with my own table of users rather than it's own?

You should look at the tables for customers in Zen Cart and if this is not how yours are laid out then this would require a significant amount of cart code rewrite to function properly
