I'm having similar problems being unable to log in my Admin area. I have run the script posted on the forum that emptys the admin table in sql and then run the additional script which reloads orginial username 'admin' and password 'admin' I have checked the table via myphpadmin and it shows that the table has update the username, admin email and password. But when I go to log on these are not accepted. When I requested an emailed password I do receive a password but this changes on each request and does not reflect 'admin', I receive such things as 'WntH6' etc.
I no longer have the PHP config pages within my admin areas of my store since running the initial setup due to security access. I deleted these files following set-up, but do I need to reinstate them, do they have any relationship with the sql tables regarding the admin area and if I wish to run the script to change the password does it need to see the config.php file??
