Header missing

I've got a problem with the header on my site. It displays ok in Firefox, yet there is just a blank space in IE. Site is www.lowcostlasers.com

I'm assuming it's a problem in the stylesheet somewhere, but CSS isn't my strong point.

Any suggestions?

I looked at your site in both browsers and it seems fine. Did you fix the problem?

No, i havn't made any changes to the site. What version of IE did you check it in? I've looked at it again in IE and i still have the same problem.

Maybe i have a problem with my browser ??

Any one else found it to be ok in IE?

I'm using IE 7. I also used Opera, still no problem. Maybe it's your browser, what version do you have?

I'm using IE6.

I'll upgrade and see if it's any different

I used IE 6 and there is definitely a problem. Unfortunately, it is another of those situations specific to IE.

With the above code being used, it looks like IE is also applying the 'height=1" to the background image. Further testing needs to be done.

I used IE 6 and there is definitely a problem. Unfortunately, it is another of those situations specific to IE.

I agree it is another IE specific problem, but i'm still non the wiser when it comes to finding a fix for it. CSS validates ok.

I did try and repost this problem in the CSS section as i thought it would be more relevant, but Kim decided to close the thread.

Any suggestions before i dump this template?

Google for the IE peek-a-boo bug.

Found the problem. The template author left a fault in the stylesheet at line 256.

He commented out a background image url, but left the float right after the url uncommented. This caused the disappearance of the header.
