Images for some and not others

Hi,
I want to be able to have images for some products or some categories but not others..Can I do this? If so how? (without turning images off all together under config/images).

If you want to skip an image for a single category, leave category image box blank in your admin edit category.

sorry..I mean all products in a category..i have two categories..one has product images and the other I dont' want to use images at all...can that be done?

I found elsewhere on this site that if I type "none" in the image file field it will remove the images, but it renders my Preview button useless....

Any other suggestions?

I was wondering how to do that too. Because if you don't need an image and just don't add one you get the "no picture available" image which is worse.

You can turn off the "images required" in the Admin> Configuration> Images

Wont that turn off ALL images?

No ... this is to indicate that when no image is set ... either show the No Image or don't show anything ...

Found it in config > images theres a setting to use the no image .gif or nothing.

Tried it works.

Code:

Product Image - No Image Status              Please make any necessary changes           
Product Image - No Image Status
Use automatic No Image when none is added to product
0= off
1= On
