I have installed the Scrolling Specials Sidebox contribution. It pretty much works great... except for one thing. In IE and in FF, it works as it should, scrolling smoothly, and not interfering with page speeds and mouse function. However, in Mozilla suite, it dramatically slows the page, even after the whole page has loaded. It causes the mouse to stick and jump, until you leave the site or reach a page on the site that does not show the sidebox. Also, if I leave the page up for any length of time, such as when I'm doing work on the site, it runs up a huge amount of queries to the database, as well as a huge number of page "hits" to my server. My hosting service shows that even though the actual page "visits" are still rather low, the "hits" are a huge number.

Is there a setting or adjustment I can make to this code to fix it?
