help question Changing Light Blue background on sides

Ok, I've learned to increase the size AND to center my logo , but now I wanted to change the light blue areas on both sides to the color background that I use in my logo.

it might be too much or too dark, but I would like to see what it looks like. I usually have it tiling on my auction pages, can I do this here and if so, where to I change the jpg file? (of .gif file if the case may be) ?

Nevermind... I forget that I'm working on a wide screen monitor, so when I went to my Mom's old monitor, I saw that it was all too wide and the letters too big.

Can someone take a look and tell me what you think?

    Thanks ~

I'm being told there is a problem with the LilleyPad Gifts text that is under the logo. Is anyone else seeing this text cut off?
Anyone know where I would edit that since I see it perfectly?

Yes, the logo words are blended with the nav bar on top there. You can shut off the top nav bar though I have to look up again how to do it -- better yet, do a search in the Forum on how to turn off the nav bar.

If you want to leave that top Nav bar on, then I'd consider making the header wrapper taller to accommodate the logo. I think that can be done, too. This would be done in the stylesheet I believe.

I'm new here, just a couple weeks but I've tweaked my ZC quite a bit. Right now alot of the details to change this stuff are a blur in my mind so do a couple searches and to confirm the correct instructions.

    Thanks Cheryl,

Can you please check it again to see if its correct now? I was trying to put it back to the way it was when it "looked" right .

    Thanks again!

Yes, it looks aligned now! Good job. Oh, did you want to leave the Zen Cart! in the browser title on top? I noticed you have one of those cool icon things on the Firefox tab so I figure you probably would like it to say "Lilley Pad Gifts", too. Maybe not though.

Oh, one other thing. Bottom of the side boxes seems wider than the top and is over the border edge. Does it show like that on your browser?

    Nice work,

    Thanks Cheryl for checking!
Yes, I can't figure out the bottom of the boxes and why they don't match up. In the future I want to change the browser as well, just haven't gotten that far yet.
    Any ideas on the boxes????

Ok, I just changed the Left Column Boxes .... it looks a little messy at this point, but the words are on the same line instead of wrapping (the Catagory titles).
What does it look like to you?

    Oh yeah! That looks fabulous!

Is it easy to curve the box edges? I asked a few days ago and haven't had a chance to explore it more. Right now I'm looking for a better background image as the one I just uploaded is way too busy but I know what I want now.

    Good job.

the curves came with the template that I choose...so not sure if its easy from scratch or not...sorry

It turned out to be easy to make the adjustment tho thru admin/layout settings.
I scooted the boxes a little bit away from the outer edge as well. Hope it looks ok on other browsers.

Thanks again for checking it out for me.
