I know what you mean with the timeframe. However, once all the customizing is done, uploading products looks real good and quick. Plus you end up with a slick web site. ho hum. It's a trade for now. My current web site took me zillions of hours over months. This one will be done sooner and look better.
I got an ID from the USPS which you need to log into the server. Go to the USPS web site and apply. It's simple and as I recall they got back to me within a few minutes with the ID.
I have not yet tested the module on Zen Cart so I have no info on that. Someone will though and post an answer to the thread. Will go read it myself.![]()

I think I have it now ....
8 / 16 = .50
4 / 16 = .25
3 / 16 = 0.1875 ?
2 / 16 = 0.125 ?
I already signed up with USPS and got my ID back, but my estimated shipping is blank.
YES!! Go Girl!
Hmm, is anything in the cart? Is your zip code in the store info? And, in the module, are there any USPS options selected?
Cheryl
Well, they're telling me now that I need to call USPS to have it switched, I didn't think I wanted to do that until I had tested it, but setting to TEST doesn't work either. I made my other website (with the help of 2 wonderful PHP coding professionals) www.NothingButRomance.com several years back. Haven't even got to use it yet, but hoping to once this one is released as well, but I remember a problem with getting the USPS thingy to work at first so I had to call.
That's where I'm headed now... to make the phone call and then I'll be back :-)
Oh, they need to switch the ID to the live server most likely.
Good luck. sorry about the confusing way I wrote weight conversion. Not my strong suit.
Your site's looking good. Let me know when it's done so i can take a look see.

So... how much do you know about adding Modules? :-)
I'm trying to add my first one (Optional Insurance offered) but I don't have a clue where to add it.
It SAYS :
Copy the files into the same directory structure provided in the archive.
I don't know what that means.... is there supposed to be a folder titled Archive?
Oh, but did get the shipping to work :-)
I think the ARchive refers to the Forum Archives. Do a search cuz I thought I saw somewhere in my travels in the last couple weeks where someone was working on adding optional insurance also.
Not ever added a module myself though I do have the Google Checkout module which I'm saving for a time when I feel particularly invincible!![]()
