    customer issue Products not downloading

    Hey Everyone,

    I am a total newbie at this I do however have my store up and running perfectly. All except for one thing. When clicking on the download button to download the product I keep getting told Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. I have also tried downloading in Firefox and still get the same problems. I am using the latest version of zen and I believe I have set absolutley everything right it is just this one little thing that is making me pull my hair out. LOL.

    Sorry but your site runs so slow I cannot deal with being on it ...

    Might check with your hosting site to see if you are experiencing a server issue ...

    You have only 60 products ... I have clients with 1000s of products that run in less than 0.5 to 1.0 seconds per page and your's ... well I gave up counting ...

    Oh ok. Sorry. It has only just decided to go slow so I am tipping that has something to do with my host. Will have to look into that now too.

    I will just keep playing around with settings in this store till I find a solution myself. No doubt the slower speed is due to me playing around trying to find an answer to it.

    Oh well. I am off to bed. Will delve into it again tomorrow.

    No the slower speed is a server issue ...

    If you cannot play around on your own site without slowing it down ... how can a customer or 2 or 3 or 12 or 100 ...

    Ok point made. It takes 4-5 seconds for the pages for me to load and I can live with that for now. The store isn't live yet and I am just getting it all set up at the moment so it isn't a huge problem.

    Has ANYONE at all got any idea on how I can get my products to download? I have all the attributes set right. I am lost and really would love some help. Or is there another site that can help me out? I would love any suggestions please and thank you.

    Sounds like perhaps you have some bad files uploaded ...

    Try reloading the files:
    /includes/modules/downloads.php
    /includes/modules/pages/download/*.*
    /includes/modules/pages/download_time_out/*.*
    /includes/languages/english/download.php
    /includes/languages/english/download_time_out.php

    Make sure if using the Redirect that /pub is set to 777

    Ok I have re-uploaded all files but want to make sure that these are right:

    /includes/modules/pages/download/*.*
    /includes/modules/pages/download_time_out/*.*

    All I have in these two folders are: header_php

    Is this the only file in these folders or should there be more? I really do appreciate your help. :)

    That doesn't make it work either. I am totally stumped now. I know it is going to be something so simple but it really is trying my patience. LOL.

    Ok got an update. I am in a right royal mood now with my host! LOL. Apparently at Powweb they do not support digital downloads in Zencart so there is my answer all in one. I am just awaiting a reply from them now to confirm it and if this is the case, I have to begin all over again and use OsEcommerce which I don't want too.
