Old Coupons wont delete?

I have specials each week using the discount coupons, so needless to say, I have quite a few inactive coupons. When I tried to delete them and went through the process, they will not delete. I highlight them, click on delete...confirm I want to delete and nothing.....they are still there.

How do I rid myself of these old inactive coupons???

Also, the shopping cart insists on keeping Alabama as the default state. Many people cannot complete their orders or creating their account because it simply will not accept the state they put in??? This does not happen for everyone..but just a few. I have gone in and changed the states through the customer info in zen cart, but even a few of those refuse to let me change them. What's up and what can I do to resolve this issue??

For your information: I am running Zencart 1.3.0.1 (which I like and no plans to upgrade until I am more familiar). I did have to do a total restore a month or two ago and incorporated a new template as well.

Any help would be appreciated on either or both of these issues.

v1.3.0.1 is a very, very old version ... Zen Cart is on v1.3.7 ...

That works fine in v1.3.7 ... but I don't even have a v1.3.0.1 to even begin to debug that and with all the bugs and security fixes since then we strongly recommend upgrading your site ... which will also fix that issue ...

Hey, yeah thanks. My web dude hasnt had time to upgrade me stuff on the server yet, so I am stuck until he has the time.

I also have been reading tons of posts that are having issues when upgrading, so I am kind of scared since after web dude does his thing, I am stuck figuring out the issues/problems/stuff.

Since I am here, I have another question, if that is ok?
I have over 300 items on my site and many of my customers are requesting an alphabetized listing. No pics, no descriptions, just an alphabetized listing. Is that possible on any of the zen carts? Granted, it is only a few out of hundreds of clients, but if I can help them be more comfortable, I would like to do so.

Thanks again for all of your help. I will try to get upgraded, hopefully without any major issues as soon as possible.

Thanks so much :) I already have the products set that way...i think what these folks want is for me to do even more work and make one page with a list of all the products I have available. No pics, no descriptions, just a list of names. Cant please everyone, esp if it means tons of work for me. :)

When i do upgrade, will i need to do all of my settings all over again? or since i did a backup, once the new upgraded zen cart is installed, can i just upload my backup? Sorry for more questions :)

I promise to buy you guys and gals a cuppa coffee each :) LOL

You would have to customize a page for that to be separate if you do not want to use the All Listing or the Product Listing for this ...

We don't really have a plain listing ...

You could look at the upcoming products and build a page based on that concept as it is done on a line listing ...

It would just be a bit of work to get it made ...

ok, this is odd :) When I check the version of my zencart, it says my version of zen cart appears to be current. My hoster/server says it also sees that I am running zen cart 1.3.7

however, if I click on the version information, it says i have 1.3.0

colored me confused :) help??

There was a bug in one of the releases ... and it thought it was current ... forever ...

If you see v1.3.0 in the Server Info ... then you are not current ...

NOTE: coupons do not delete as in get removed ...

Discount coupons delete as in are set to Inactive vs Active ...
