Why does the catagory repeat itself?

From the home page you can see 1 test item in the Comics catagory, but when you click on Comics and it goes to that page, you see

Comics (1)

Why is the top catagory Comics showing twice?

Also, is there a way to make the Catagory titles not wrap around to the next line? When I try to increase the Cat box, it throws off the template design on the top of the box...the blue/purple design doesn't fit properly.

Ok, I see what I was seeing now.... I saw the Marvel COMICS (1) going to the next line.
So what does everyone do, keep your catagory names short so that they don't wrap to the next line and make it confusing for the customers?
When I try to enlarge the Catagory box, it messes up the graphics.
I went ahead and deleted the word Comics in the Marvel sub-catagory so it looks better now, but I wish I could unwrap some of the other top cat names.

It may be a browser issue at your end. When I view your site I see the full length category names on one line. For example, "Salt & Pepper Shakers" is all on one line, not wrapped.

Make sure the default text size in your browser is Normal, or 100% or whatever your browser calls it.

Mine has :

Largest
Larger
Medium
Smaller
Smallest

It was set to Larger, but I changed to Medium and nothing happened. I"m supposed to be changing it in the View/Text Size, right?

Hmmmm.... Salt & Pepper Shakers is still on two lines for me, but Craft Supplies is now on 1 line.

NOTE: adjusting a browser setting from the defaults to fix a display defeats the point of designing a site ...

Adjusting to the defaults is understandable so you know that 90% of the world will see what you see ...

But adjusting just to try to see your site better is not a benefit as you will now see your site fine but the other 90% of the world will not ...

Just a thought ...

But how do I know that my settings weren't off from what the rest of the world sees? That was the case all day yesterday! I saw my text LilleyPad Gifts below my logo perfectly, but no one else did.

Notice that you first go into 'Gifts for the home', but to see more than the highlighted items, you have to go into 'Gifts for the home' again. You end up at:

'Home :: Gifts for the home :: Gifts for the home'

Do we just have something setup wrong or is this how it's supposed to display?

You have called categories_id 1 Gift for the home and you have called a subdirectory in that category which is categories_id 2 Gift for the home
