    Default Moved Hosting - Problems!

    I've tried to move my site to a new server but now get a http 404 error on my home page.

    When trying the - fix_cache_key.php - page I get the following message

    Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/html/fix_cache_key.php:43) in /var/www/html/includes/application_top.php on line 67

    Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: notifier in /var/www/html/includes/autoload_func.php on line 79

    Any help appreciated.

    open this file
    application_top.php

    put cursor at end of file directly after the last ?> and hit delete 10 times, save and re-upload

    If I delete back 10 times I would remove the following:

    ress;
    }
    ?>

    And after uploading get the message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /var/www/html/includes/application_top.php on line 129

    Sorry Merlin, you're targetting the wrong file in that suggestion
    Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/html/fix_cache_key.php:43) in /var/www/html/includes/application_top.php on line 67
    The output that's causing the warning started "started at /var/www/html/fix_cache_key.php:43" (where :43 means line 43).
    The reference to application_top indicates that something in application_top was trying to do something new for content, but unexpectedly found text on the screen already.

    And actually, it's normal for fix_cache_key to do that.

    How exactly did you do the move ?

    There are documented instructions on the process here:

    from your site:
    1146 Table 'modfx_co_uk_-_modfx.db_cache' doesn't exist
    in:
    [db_cache table]
    This suggests that you've got an incorrectly-specfied DB_PREFIX in your configure.php files, or perhaps an incorrect DB_DATABASE setting.

    I followed the documented instructions as above, I have done this twice to make sure I haven't missed anything. I'm a bit lost with the database bit, what do I exactly need to look for?

    Thanks

    Just to add my old database name was: modfx

    but my new database is: modfx_co_uk_-_modfx

    as my hosting puts the new first bit by default. I have updated my configure files to reflect this but it still doesn't resolve it.
