    Default IPN DEBUG messages????

    Hello,
    I've had someone test out PayPal payments for the first time before I take the site live and although everything seemed to work properly, I received 11 emails right away that have the same thing in them ...

    IPN DEBUG message (1170360744_RANS) #3
    $EMAIL_MESSAGE_HTML


    the only thing that is different is the # of each one where the #3 is on this one .
    The other numbers are :
    4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13


    I recevied the order & the paypal payment and she received her emails as well.
    How do I fix this?

    I'm still trying to resolve this issue. I have researched this on the forum, but it seems that there is usually something missing whether it be the order or the payment and then they have something to go on....but with this test nothing was missing! Order processed just fine and the payment did as well...BUT I immediately received those 11 emails.

    Please someone help!!! I really wanted to move this site to its correct place tonight.

    The fix is pretty simple - you just need to turn debug mode off - how to do that depends on the version of the cart. If you're using v1.3.7, go to Admin > Modules > Payment, click on Paypal IPN, then the Edit button - debug setting is at bottom of the list

    Ok, I see... I changed it to still go to the log, but not to email.... is that the best way? or is it better to turn off completely? I'm not positive what its for.

    No, it doesn't mean anything is wrong - it's useful for troubleshooting if there is something wrong, in that it lets you see exactly what's happening during the process.
    There's no need to even log it if your checkout is working fine.
