orders_products Table Question

Can someone tell me what the products_prid field is used for in the orders_products table? Sometimes it is just a copy of the products_id and sometimes it has an encrypted looking string following the id, e.g. 1887:16fbcf2015c18d6e531051bf8d0d27ca. What is this encrypted value?

I am trying to spoof the creation of an order from FLEX for some custom admin pages.
