Fixed Shipping Per item

Hey guys is there a module or a way that each item has seperate shipping fees? I don't want it to multiply the number of items by a constant value to get shipping I was hoping with each item I enter add I says price and then shipping which is added together at checkout. I know this can be done with free shipping by just adding shipping to price and having free shipping but I want the customer to see the lowest price and then at checkout display the addedd shipping.

Under those circumstances a Required attribute called shipping would be the way to go - however the totals will not have a subtotal for shipping and you will have to use the Free shipping module anyway.

This is probably a silly question but why would you want each item's shipping shown individually?

Hey Kim. Thanks for the reply. Well each item I sell will be dropshipped so I can't like calculate the shipping using realtime rates because it would be less than what it would actually cost considering the items will be shipped from different locations. So I was gona use a ballpark figure to figure out how much shipping per item I need and add it accordingly. I know I can do this with free shipping and just adding it but I want my customers to fire see a lower price than be prompted that a shipping fee applies. What would be the best way to do this?

You might look at Per Unit perweightunit where the products_weight is the shipping price * the unit in the Shipping Module which you can set to 1 or whatever you like ...
