HTMLArea problem with Firefox 2.0.0.1

I've got a fresh install of ZC 1.3.7 into a sub-directory on an Apache server. I have no contribs installed or modifications made in any way (other than a properly created new template).

I'm trying to add a new EZ-Page.

First I couldn't get the HTMLArea to load at all, so I made the changes according to this thread:

(Of course, I found the thread *after* I had hunted the problem down myself. :) )

I discovered that HTMLArea works perfectly in IE7 and so I created a new EZ-Page with that.

I can now edit that page in FF using HTMLArea just fine. However, if I try to create a new EZ-Page using HTMLArea in FF, I wind up with a number of problems. First, FF appears never to finish loading the page. I get 'Waiting for...' in the statusbar for at least several minutes (the length of my patience waiting for it). Also, I cannot mouse-click into the text area. If I try, it throws the JavaScript error "Error: el.tagName has no properties". I can, however, give focus to a field above the text area and tab my way into it. From that point, I can add text, format it, etc. and update it just fine. Once I update it, I can go back and re-edit with FF without any problems.

I have tried disabling every single FF add-on and still wind up with the same issues.

Any thoughts?

Thanks Oracle, but if you'll note that's the same link I had in my original post. The fix described in it was already applied.

Great, thanks for pointing that out

I did used the forum's search engine to find more results. Users did reported some weird behavior with the HTMLArea Window. Althought, the pointed URL seem to have the most recent fix.
